P&D Antenna is the product of 75 years of growth and dedication to the communication industry. Three generations of the Pitts family have been committed to the industry, making service and loyalty the keys to its success. By applying family values and superior work ethic, P&D has proven itself in the market.

Born out of the demand for Television towers, the later Paul Pitts nurtured the business into radio towers and microwave. Soon thereafter, P&D became the first company to build cellular tower sites in the Chicago Land Area. The company that previously operated from a one car garage now has a facility that can house some of the largest communication projects in the Midwest.

P&D is led by Paul’s son, Leroy, and his three sons and is heading full force into wireless communications and turn-key installations. A committed staff greatly contributes to the synergy of the family owned company. Crew leaders and project managers average over 15 years of hands on experience.

The fourth generation of the Pitts family now joins the quest to enhance meaningful relationships within the industry. Keeping abreast of current trends and technology, along with setting standards for the future, P&D Antenna will provide the diversification that is required for an ever-changing communication world.



P&D Antenna Service, Inc. is a founding member of The National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE), a non-profit trade association providing a unified voice for tower erection, maintenance and service companies. NATE is headquartered in Watertown, South Dakota with a staff of seven people who administer to the day-to-day operation of the association. As a member driven association, NATE is directed by its Board of Directors and committees. These individuals come from all types and sizes of companies located throughout the United States.

NATE Mission Statement:
To pursue, formulate and adhere to uniform standards of safety to ensure the continued well-being of tower personnel.
To educate the general public, applicable government agencies and clients on continued progress toward safer standards within the industry.
To keep all members informed of issues relevant to the industry.
To provide a unified voice for tower erection, service and maintenance companies.
To facilitate effective safety training for the industry.

NATE was formed around the motto “Safety from the Ground Up”. Being that P&D Antenna was a founding member, it has also adopted the same motto into its work ethic.  NATE and its members work closely with several state and federal Regulatory Agencies, including OSHA, NIOSH, the FCC and the FAA.
